Maximize Your Facelift with These Conservative Procedures

Facelift surgery is one of the most well-known plastic surgery procedures. It has long been a favorite of adults past middle age. In recent years, especially this past year, the procedure has become popular among adults in their forties and fifties. The facelift is no longer a surgery that you put off until you absolutely have to. Done when the signs of aging first start to become prominent, the facelift can achieve natural-looking results that last many years. These results can also be enhanced with particular conservative procedures, which we’ll discuss here.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are wrinkle reducers that are often tried before a facelift. The technique is simple and convenient and also is not always an alternative to surgical facial rejuvenation. Surgeons have found that dermal fillers are a nice complement to facelift surgery. This conservative procedure can enhance the results of a facelift by accentuating particular areas, such as the lips or the cheeks, for additional, subtle rejuvenation.

CoolSculpting or Kybella

A facelift repositions tissue on the lower part of the face, which can lift sagging jowls along the jawline. This procedure may not fully eradicate a double chin, though. For this reason, some people choose to enhance the results of their facelifts with CoolSculpting or Kybella. Both may require two or more sessions. Both eliminate fat cells for good, so achieve lasting definition to frame the face.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Collagen loss and volume depletion are not the only signs of aging that occur. The skin is also affected by our time in the sun. Whether you would describe yourself as a sun-worshiper at any time in your life or not, you’ve likely sustained some degree of UV damage. Most people do, and this is not something that a facelift can correct. Sun damage presents as rough texture or rough patches on the skin, red spots, brown spots, pre-cancerous spots, and fine lines and wrinkles. Laser resurfacing restores a smooth, soft, radiant surface that is a beautiful compliment to a facelift.

Facial rejuvenation is always in style. We have multiple options to help you address the signs of  aging and sun damage that concern you the most. Call our NYC office at (212) 508-0000 to arrange a visit.
