There are only about 7000 certified plastic surgeons in the USA. If you have decided that you want plastic surgery, you need to choose the plastic surgeon who will be best for you.
Absolute “Must-Haves” for a Plastic Surgeon
There are several things that you will want to know about surgeons before even making an appointment. Make sure your surgeon is certified by at least on of the cosmetic or plastic surgery boards. They should have hospital privileges, or at least a quality for facility in which to operate. You should also be able to check their experience level and make sure they have experience with your procedure.You don’t necessarily need to see a surgeon who specializes in the procedure you want, but you do want someone with lots of experience in that procedure.
Vision and Personality
It is important to find a surgeon who has beauty ideals that are similar to yours. After all, if you want to change something about your body, you want your surgeon to have the same vision you do.
Ask to see before and after pictures of past surgeries performed by your doctor. Would you be pleased with their results? Look for consistencies and research online reviews of the doctor if you can.
