60 year-old male presented to Dr. Shridharani’s cosmetic surgery practice in New York City in hopes of getting rid of “sun spots, scars, and YEARS of sun damage.” He had tried “several superficial lasers” and “some ointments that made me peel and get red,” but “none of it really made a difference.” The patient spent much of his life outdoors in the summer and “loves sun.” He wanted a “dramatic improvement” and was willing to block out 7-10 days to heal. He did not want to feel any pain during the fractionated laser resurfacing procedure, so he elected to have the procedure performed under sedation in Dr. Shridharani’s operating room on Fifth Avenue. The patient is pictured here 1 week prior to his laser resurfacing treatment and 3 months later. He has noticeable improvement in the appearance of sunspots, sun damage, lines, wrinkles, scars and texture of his skin.
