40 year-old woman presented to Dr. Shridharani’s aesthetic plastic surgery practice in New York City concerned about the overall appearance of her breasts. The patient had previously undergone a breast augmentation in California 7 years prior to seeing Dr. Shridharani. She had saline-filled breast implants placed and was displeased with “drop” and malposition. Also, she noticed significant rippling in both breasts. The patient was interested in undergoing breast augmentation/implant exchange/correction of cosmetic breast issues in New York City with Dr. Shridharani. Once thoroughly evaluated, it was noted that the patient would benefit from a right-sided breast lift (mastopexy), also. The patient requested a “natural, but full” look. The patient underwent a breast implant exchange with right-sided periareolar (scar around the areola) lift with smooth, round, moderate plus profile silicone gel implants placed underneath the muscle (pectoralis major) through an inframammary incision approach (on the underside of breast). She is pictured here 1 week prior to surgery and 1 year after her procedure.
