59 year-old woman presented to LUXURGERY in Manhattan for dermal fillers to the lower face with Dr. Shridharani. The patient stated that she is a very happy person but her downward turned smile and jawline jowls made her look sad and fatigued. She also noticed that she had lost definition along her jawline. Dr. Shridharani advised her that losing volume, shape and definition along the jawline, often creating jowls, is a normal part of the aging process. He advised her that she would benefit from a facelift and neck lift, but the patient stated she would like to wait a couple more years before committing to surgery. Dr. Shridharani advised her that fillers to the jawline (mandible) and marionette lines (smile lines) would improve the overall contour of her lower face. The patient underwent Juvederm Voluma XC to the angle of her mandible (jawline) and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC to her central mandible (chin) and marionette lines. The patient is pictured here before injectable fillers and immediately after the non-surgical procedure. She was so pleased that she elected to return to the office for more fillers and botox.
